SOFIA AVRAMIDOU AT TEATRO COLÓN
This concert brings together visionary orchestral works that traverse sonic landscapes from myth, memory, and cinematic imagination to contemporary experimentation. The programme opens with the Latin American premiere of Innsmouth by Sofia Avramidou, an orchestral work inspired by the unsettling atmosphere of H. P. Lovecraft’s universe. Francesco Filidei’s cello concerto I giardini di Vilnius explores fragile textures and resonant spaces, performed by renowned cellist Francesco Dillon. Kaija Saariaho’s luminous Laterna Magica offers a hypnotic orchestral journey inspired by the memoirs of Ingmar Bergman, while Igor Stravinsky’s Symphony in Three Movements closes the evening with rhythmic force and dramatic intensity.
